VISION

Pro-Link envisions a world where women/men are given equal access to the necessities of life irrespective of where they come from. With a guiding philosophy of “Pro-Link! Working to improve lives of the disadvantaged”. We believe that people irrespective of their status can meaningfully contribute to their own development.

MISSION

Our mission is “To empower and advocate with disadvantaged people (especially women and girls) to uphold their human rights and improve on their health, education, socio-economic status.”

WHO WE ARE...

Pro-Link is a non-profit community-based organization established in Ghana in 1993 but started full operations in 2000. Starting from a small beginning, Pro-Link aims at making people at the grass-root the main authors of their own development. Pro-Link has now 10 physical project District offices in ten regions of Ghana namely Ashanti; Central, Volta, Oti, Eastern, Western, Bono, Ahafo and Northern with its head office in Accra. With an annual budget of $ 2,381,938.93, Pro-Link currently has partners in the Savanna, upper East, Upper West and Northeast regions. Our projects in recent times include health (maternal health/child survival/Nutrition/HIV/SRH/FP/STI/TB) Global Fund NFMII, DFID Girls’ Education, Communicate for Health, Care Continuum, economic empowerment for women and vulnerable girls, Anti-child trafficking, Anti Child labour and gender-based violence programmes. These projects are fully funded by donor organizations and managed by highly experienced and professional staff.

For more than 25  years, Pro-Link has worked in partnership with Ghana Health Service, Government institutions, key stakeholders and other development partners in many Districts/communities in 10 Regions of Ghana using bottom-up approaches such as Social and Behavior Change communication(SBCC), capacity building, social engagement, community mobilization, partnership & networking, advocacy/rights based approaches(RBA, livelihood empowerment  to promote maternal health and child survival; fight HIV/AIDS/TB; prevent malaria; promote family planning, Adolescent Reproductive health, sexual reproductive health rights, restore livelihoods among women and girls and promote gender equity and equality.
